I hardly ever succeed to spin a balanced yarn! After plying the yarn twirls, always clockwise.
To set the twist I need to dry the yarn under tension after washing.
I put the skein on a coat hanger and weight the yarn with al little sand bag.
Once I wanted to knit a sample from my yarn and wouldn’t wait any longer.
In other words: I put the yarn on the wood stove to dry.
The sample at the top is the knitting of the yarn, dried on the wood stove.
At the bottom the same skein is washed again, but dried under tension.
I washed the two samples and nothing changed.
