On our Annual Spinning Day one could select a workshop.
My favorite was felting and I am so proud of the result.
The workshop was given by Alexandra and she is amazing.
Just take a look at her blog.
It was a new holiday project. Easy to take with me and a lot of flowers to crochet in four weeks time.
Another great poney thanks to Heidi Bears.
Just as the first Fatty (I made for my daugher Janneke) we straightened the legs and neck
with thin sticks from the barbecue ๐
No children are going to play with the little horse, so no danger included.
The yarn is 100 % acrylic and the colours are wonderfull.
‘Granny, will you knitt socks for me???’ Surprised I answered:”Do you really mean that?”
And yes he was serious.
“Will you wear them?”
“Yes….”
Together we went to the shop, so he could choose his own colour.
Being 4 years old he could only see what was on the lowest shelf.
He took the yarn and said: “Oh no, I don’t like this one.”
It was dark!
Now it was time to lift him and yes he saw the yarn with green….his favourite colour.
(I knew he would like it, the moment I put my eyes on it.)
Time to get started.
I knitted andย measured and kintted and measured……
On his socks he went upstairs to show me something.
‘Oeh, they tickle,”he said.ย So we decided to take them off.
“I think my feet need to adjust to them.” ๐
The next day a photo showed him, walking in the garden on his socks.
He even wears them inside out.
Job done!

Crochet Pattern by:
Heidi Bears
My daughter was linked to this pattern on a horse forum.
Being a member of Ravelry, it was easy to find.
It is an amazing pattern and very nice to crochet.
Fatty has already found a place in Janneke’s home.
After knitting 6 pairs of hosetops for new members of
The Highland Regiment , I had enough…..
However…from time to time… ๐
I did it! Today I finished my poncho!
My sister-in-law permitted me to use the model of her poncho. So nice of her! Thank you Loeska ๐
The first time I saw her wearingย it, I envied her, you know ๐
The colours are different though.
Turquoise and purple are my favorite colours and I used red to brighten it up, but I already mentioned
that in one of my previous blogposts.
The fringes form a nice band at the bottom….(the way I braided them)…. I think ๐
The collar is knitted separately and sewed with the machine to the neck-piece
