I never wove with such a thick thread in warp and weft. Two per cm.
The total width of my loom is used, 120 cm.
It’s  just a simple plain weave / tabby. The colours are the most important in this cloth.

I finished the spinning of this ‘new blend’ several months ago! Dyeing was the second step.
Purple and turquoise are favorite colours of mine. The red is to brighten it up ;-)!!
I will weave the poncho and these skeins are for the weft.
The warp, I will dye the same and while weaving the same colours will find each other or mix!
A bit like this shawl….

My spinning of the package….Annual Spinning Day 2011
Today the yarn is going with me to Elspeet for the Annual Spinning Day 2012!
I choose to knit the yarn….in the end a huge blanket will be the result
of our shared croched or knitting….

This blend is carded with Bleu du Maine, Alpaca, Mohair and Silk……..
The second time I carded small nests…… it feels gorgeous….
This 400 gr. will accompony me wherever I go, together with my Rose…..

Yes, I really won this beautiful blend. It was given by  ‘het wolbeest’  The photo shows blue and green, but it is turquoise and green, my favorite colours.
The blend of  turquoise is Swifter/Merino/Camel / silk and angelina. The green  is ‘Fries-melkschaap’ / Merino, mohair, Camel and soy-silk.
Now I have to decide: spinning or felting?
Not easy…but the blend is so beautiful, I think, in the end,  I will choose for spinning.
The only thing I did was RT a tweet, can you imagine!?
It feels so soft…gorgeous. Thanks Alexandra.

This second week I did spin, but not that much, only one full bobbin.
I tried to make an evenly, thicker thread. To make it more easy the tops were divided in 8 thinner lengths. That went well. I will do some Navajo plying and some knitting and ……keep my fingers crossed.

In the meantime I went on  blending  Ryeland fleece / cria alpaca / kid mohair / angora. The total weight is +/-  40 grams.
