I started to knit a bolero from the dyed leftover Jacob Humbug / Alpaca yarn.
The pattern is from ‘Drops Design’  Fingers crossed!

After finishing we really thought the sweater looked rather dull. We decided to add turquoise to brighten it up and the dye-pot was heated….

It was hard to catch the right colour with the camera. In reality it shows  much, much nicer….
and the combination with the dark colour is beautiful.
Maybe the close-up will give a better impression!

After finishing my husband’s sweater, there was still a reasonable amount of yarn left.
Enough to knit something, but some colour would be nice.
I decided to rainbow dye this leftover and used turquoise / golden yellow / bright red
and a touch of black.

Tadah….!!!! I used a ‘Drops Design’ model

the neckpiece…..

Puh…finally on my way with the right pattern for my own spun yarn. A blend of Alpaca and Jacob Humbug.
All seems to go well now and in time it will be a finished sweater.
Here you can find the pattern I use….garnstudio
