I can spin rather thin.

I often choose the Navaho/Navajo plying, because I like a 3 ply yarn.
Now I wondered if I could  do this  with two singles?
I gave it a try……

I crochet the two singles at the same time and the final result will be a 6 ply.

As you can see it is possible. When I took the yarn of my skein winder it twirled to the left a lot.
To much ply! I unplyed it  a little in the spin direction and now it looked and felt better.
It did twirl a little to the right though, but not as much as it did at first to the left.
I am content. It still is a very thin yarn, but it was a nice experiment and a lot of spinning 🙂

Yes…..I finished my 1 kilo merino tops. I wanted to make a thicker thread and I succeeded.
It has become a really bulky yarn. I named it  ‘Many Coloured’ .
It was Navaho / Navajo plyed and the total length is 1017 m.
Next step: knitting!

This third week I started to spin again, but Tuesday was my last day. My four year old friend came to stay with us and I knew my time would be scarce. So I left  the team.
Nevertheless I did some Navajo plying and knitted a small sample
